Reps Reject Bill Seeking Tenure Elongation For Elective Offices

Members of the Nigerian House of Representatives has rejected a bill seeking the review of the constitution for the numbers of years per term for the President, Governor, Senators, Representative members and State Houses of Assemblies members to be adjusted from 4 years to 6 years per term.

The bill was sponsored by Hon. John Dyegh.

After a heated debated, the bill was put to a vote and the nays have it, hence rejected.
