Edo Commissioner Arrested For Cultism Abroad


A commissioner in Edo State, Mr. Osaze Osemwingie Ero, has been arrested by INTERPOL for cultism.

Mr.Osemwingie who heads the Culture, Tourism and Diaspora Ministry was arrested in Amsterdam, Holland.

It was earlier rumoured that the embattled commissioner was arrested in France for Money Laundering.

The Nation reports that the Commissioner was arrested as part of INTERPOL’s investigation into cult activities in Europe.

His arrest was said to have been connected to the arrest of some Nigerians in Italy for prostitution racketeering, cultism, pimping and other offences.

Ero was reportedly among some prominent Nigerians named by the suspects as one of the ring leaders of the confraternity.
