A journalist identified as Maxwell Nashan has been killed by yet to be identified gunmen ahead of his planned marriage.
Bittertruth Media gathered that the sad incident occurred on Wednesday in Yola, the state capital.
Confirming the incident, Donald Dedan, the state chairman of NUJ, said the assailants picked the journalist from his house in the Bachure area of the city and dumped him near the station with cuts and bruises.
He added that Nashan later died at hospital.
The NUJ chairman asked the security agencies in the state to find the assailants and bring them to justice.
While lamenting over the growing cases of insecurity in the state which he said required urgent attention, Dedan urged the security agencies to bring the perpetrators of the evil act to Justice.
Until his sudden demise, Nashan, was a reporter with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) station, Fombina FM.
