The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) appears set to be on warpath with the Federal Government over the upcoming burial ceremony of the late parents of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Abia State this weekend.
The OYC President, Igboayaka O Igboayaka said the Federal Government has no right to dictate who attends Nnamdi Kanu’s parents burial.
A visibly angry Igboayaka said that what the authorities should be concerned with is how to maintain peace and not to dictate who comes to mourn with the Kanu family.
Also speaking, the President general of Afara town union maintained that the burial of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents is not an IPOB affair and anyone who attends the burial is a mourner.
Bittertruth Media recalls that the Abia State Police Command had vowed to arrest Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and any member of his group found during the burial.
There are reports of tensed security situation in Abia State ahead of the burial.
