The late parents of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, were today buried at Afaraukwu in Abia state.
The burial ceremony which held amidst tight security and tension had several dignitaries in attendance including Mr.Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, and Enyinnaya Abaribe, senator representing Abia south.
Also in attendance were former APGA National Chairman, Victor Umeh and IPOB’s Lawyer.
Bittertruth Media recalls that Senator Abaribe stood as a surety for Nnamdi Kanu, when he was granted bail by a federal high court in 2017, although the bail has since been revoked.
NAN reports that primary and secondary schools in the area were closed due to fears of expected clash between IPOB Members and security operatives.
Unfortunately, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was absent at the event.
His absence may not be unconnected to the revolve by the Police to get him arrested if he dares to attend.
He is the first son and his parents were the king and queen of Afaraukwu community.
