Sacked Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has filed a fresh application a the Supreme Court over its earlier verdict that gave his hard earned victory to PDP’s Douye Diri.
Accordingly, the apex court has fixed Tuesday for hearing of the application.
This was confirmed by Festus Akande, spokesman of the supreme court.
Chief Lyon is demanding the supreme court to re-examine his replacement as governor-elect 24 hours to inauguration.
Meanwhile, Douye Diri, Lyon’s PDP rival, has since been sworn in as governor of Bayelsa.
Bittertruth Media recalls that Chief Lyon was sacked by the apex court on the grounds that Biobarakuma Degi-Eriemienyo, his running mate, presented forged certificate.
