Shehu Sani Hits Buhari Over Increased Insecurity Across Nigeria

A former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari over the increased insecurity across the country. Sani who recounted one of Buhari-led All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign manifesto in 2015 which was to proffer solution to the country’s security challenges, urged the president to stop giving excuses over the spate of insecurity in Nigeria.

Sani who was elected on the platform of the APC but lost his reelection bid opined that Nigerians voted the Buhari government on the promises that they would perform “miracles” in the area of insecurity, hence they should stop giving excuses.

In a tweet on his official handle, Sani wrote: “Insecurity was the major factor used for the ejection of the past administration and the most attractive reasons for the installation of the present one; Those who promised to perform instant miracles should not deny or give excuses of not having the magic wand.”

Sani’s call is coming amidst sustained attacks by the Boko Haram terrorists, ISWAP kidnappers and bandits in different parts of the country.
