LAUTECH Expels 45 Students Over Exams Malpractice


The Senate of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, has approved the expulsion of 45 students for their involvement in examination malpractices.

This follows a report released on February 20 2020 by the management of th institution.

The affected students were notified via the school’s electronic mail transmission system.

According to the mail, the senate’s decision was informed by the recommendations of the Examination Malpractices Panel and Student Disciplinary Committee.

Bittertruth Media reports that the affected students cut across departments including Architecture, Civil Engineering, Medical Lab Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.

Also, five students were suspended for four semesters suspension and two graduates, Akintunde Olawale and Ibitoye Ahmed, had their certificates withdrawn.
